December 29 (Mon) - ...or not. (Another storm, melt, etc.)
December 30 (Tues) - Lunch with Mom and Dad; Time with the Holmans
December 31 (Wed) - Trip to Seattle and Sunriver
Jan 1 (Thurs) - Family day at the condo
Jan 2 (Fri) - Skiing!!!! at Mt. Bachelor
Jan 3 (Sat) - Trip back to Seattle
Jan 4 (Sun) - Back to DFW.

Sorry, no pictures. I got up early to fly stand by. My original flight was 7:30 p.m., which would take an entire day out of our Oregon trip. Got lucky and on the first fight out.

We drove from Seattle to Sunriver, Oregon (south of Bend). Kaler being only 16 months old, it was a very long trip for him (and a bit for us, too). I think it took us 10 hours for a 6 hour trip.

Along the trip we found a new use for our GPS - following the road in bad snow. We could watch Garmin and see which way the road was turning ahead. It also helped us when we couldn't even see an exit or read the snow covered signs. And, then, during the dark of night the GPS helped us find the condo, helping us navigate through the maze of traffic circles. I can't imagine how hard it would be to give directions for that!
