Hints:

If a projectile is launched from the ground and lands on the ground, you automatically know that Vf = -Vi. This is ONLY true if y displacement = 0m.

In all other cases you will get stuck with a quadratic to calculate time OR (here's the big hint) you will have to calculate Vf first (remembering that it will be negative because it is falling at the end [a square root only gives a positive]). Then you have Vf and can find t easily.
