1) Do Linear Motion 7 (regulars) - On this homework we will grade it to the hilt, meaning you should know how to do all of this (use the internet for the terminal velocity stuff).
2) I STRONGLY suggest you do the slope study helps on this page (ones on the right). It should make the online homework a lot easier, if not easy.
2) Do online homework 5 - Mr. Parsons doesn't think it is as hard as the last one.
HINTS:
A) v with a line above it means average velocity. Know the definition before you answer the problem/s.
B) Be sure you know the difference between speed and velocity. Average speed has only magnitude (always positive); average velocity requires direction and can be negative.
C) Again, if a line is curved instantaneous speed means the slope of a line tangeant to the line at that point. If the line is straight, then instantaneous speed is just slope.
D) On some questions you are asked to find velocity from an acceleration vs. time graph. If you THINK about it (especially units) you can find something about velocity from the graph. Using this and the given information, you can solve those related problems.
Fight with every problem, even if you end up with a bad grade!!! It's the fighting that teaches you something!!
