PreAP Light and Optics 4 - OK - Sorry this is so late. I lost my conference period on Monday and was not able to finish it. I think, though, that the extra time made for better homework. Take your time on this. Come ask questions and you will understand this topic much better. (Fortunately, due to TAKS, class isn't until Wednesday and Thursday)

Quiz on all of the topics on the Refraction notes.

Refraction Lab due. Instructions:

Each lab member will need to prove to me that they have measured several of your 5 refraction examples. Each example will be double checked by other lab members.

You will graph Sin ϴi (incident) vs. Sin ϴr (refracted) (or 1 vs. 2). The slope of the line will be your index of refraction.

Ways to lose points:

connect the dots.

not labeling axis

wierd number spacing (each grid mark should be a reasonable number: 1,2,3 or 5, 10, 15, or .01, 02, etc)

no title

no units on axis

lines sketched (use a ruler)

messy.

THIS IS A LAB - DO WELL. IT'S WORTH A LOT OF POINTS. AND THIS ONE IS EASY.
